My main joy lies in teaching.  After 30 years of teaching in public school system, I decided to take some classes myself and chose quilting.  After several classes, I was asked by two local shops to consider teaching some of the techniques I had learned and so I went back to the classroom as a quilting teacher.    I started designing quilts so I would have a sample for the class and a pattern for the quilt shops to offer.

Most of my patterns have been designed with a future class in mind or to demonstrate and teach a specific technique.  Later I started using EQ5 and have found it to be extremely beneficial in developing my designs.  I have sinced upgraded to EQ6.

I love to do presentations at bees, guilds, churches, or wherever anyone will listen.  I guess that's the teacher in me.   :)

My mother, my four sisters, and one of my daughters all love to quilt, and we have a great time getting together to share ideas and show off our quilts.  I'll admit that my sisters actually finish more quilts than I do, and they are more precise in their sewing than I am.  My theory is "if you can't see the mistake while riding a galloping horse, don't worry about it!"   LOL      Although I will admit that correct cutting and a 1/4" seam can be very valuable.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have, and I look forward to seeing your finished quilts made from my patterns.   If you'll send me a .jpg picture, I'll put it in my gallery for all to see.   :)
